North Berwick Edinburgh

A journey to the Capital of Scotland

Edinburgh is the Capital of Scotland.

Any student's experience in Scotland wouldn't be complete without a trip to Edinburgh, the country's stunning capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site. This will be a complete tour in Edinburgh and includes visiting the most exciting locations such as Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh Univeristy, Birth Place of Harry Potter, the Princess Street, Princess Street Gardens and Holyrood Park, Scott Monument, National Monument, St Andrew's Square, Scottish National Portrait Gallery and National Museum of Scotland and more... For our big fans of Harry Potter, Edinburgh is home to the Elephant House. Elephant House is world famous as the birthplace of Harry Potter where J.K Rowling sat writing many of her early novels in the back room overlooking Edinburgh Castle. There is simply so much to see and do in Edinburgh. This Day Trip also includes visiting Kelpies, the impressive 30 meters high horse heads.

This Day Trip also includes North Berwick in East Lothian! Combining the best of Scotland in miniature, here you'll find historic castles and great walks, golden beaches, spectacular cliffs, the world's finest selection of links golf courses and much more. We will enjoy fantastic 360 degree sceneries and spectacular panoramic views as we walk up the North Berwick Law, overlooking the Bass Rock Island and Tantallon Castle. You will be fascinated by the amazing volcanic island of Bass Rock, sometimes appearing all white as it is home to 150 000 gannets, making it the largest single island gannet colony in the world! You can watch the birds, including puffins, on cameras at the Scottish Seabird Centre, or get closer to them by taking a very short boat trip around the Rock. This Day Trip also includes visiting Holy Island, a tidal island connected to the mainland by a causeway. Twice a day the tide sweeps in from the North Sea and covers the road, which is an incredible phenomenon to see! At the tip of the island, you will be amazed by the majestic views of Lindisfarne Castle dating back to 1550. You will also enjoy the romantic Lindesfarne Priory when visiting Holy Island. For those who love spectacular coastal scenery, great walks, golden beaches, wildlife, history and architecture, this day trip will be an awesome experience and is definitely not to be missed!
