Newcastle and Jedburgh
An English adventure to Newcastle.

Newcastle was recently voted as UK's best short break destination and considered as one of the world's new cultural Meccas.

Join us for a fantastic Day Trip to Newcastle upon Tyne, recently voted as UK’s best short break destination and considered as one of the world’s new cultural Meccas, with its dynamic and vibrant attractions. Commonly known as Newcastle, the city is located in North East England and situated on the north bank of the River Tyne. The city history is evident with its Victorian elegance, backdrop and city centre listing more classical buildings than any other city in the UK. Interestingly, this contrasts to the urban sophistication of Newcastle, with its excellent art galleries, restaurants, boutique hotels, bars and of course, the impressive contemporary architecture of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. We’ll have plenty of time to enjoy exploring this highly walkable city, with many of the city’s 19th century streets following the attractive River Tyne. You’ll also discover that there is simply so much to see and do! You’ll have the chance to visit Newcastle University in which Princess Eugenie was a graduate! Aswell as, Newcastle Gateshead Quayside, Coastline, MetroCentre, Castle Keep and the Cathedral Church of St Nicholas and Tynemouth, St James Park, Newcastle Stadium, Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens and Mowbray Park, and more!

This Day Trip also includes a great chance to stop in the historic burgh and attractive town of Jedburgh. We'll have the opportunity to visit the town's famous for historic attractions including Mary Queen of Scots House (free entry), the 19th century Jedburgh Castle Jail (free entry), and Jedburgh Abbey, a spectacular ancient monument founded in 1138 tainted with an incredible, turbulent 900 year history.
