About the Tour
This is a truly Scottish journey through some of the most majestic scenery in the Highlands of Scotland. The main destination is Oban, the most picturesque town on the West Highlands known as the 'Seafood Capital of Scotland' and famous for its Whiskey Distillery and the impressive McCaig's Tower. However, there is a lot to see and to do in Oban including the historic Dunollie Castle, Oban Whisky Distillery, Oban Chocolate Factory & Shop, St Columba's Cathedral and Oban Harbour. We will walk to McCaig's Tower, a Colosseum look alike, situated uphill to enjoy the most spectacular and panoramic views overlooking the town, the harbour and across to surrounding islands. This adventurous tour also includes visiting the beautiful Highland town of Inveraray, a chance to see the impressive and romantic Inveraray Castle, filmed in 'Downtown Abbey'. We will also enjoy walking a long the the peaceful and beautiful Loch Fyne where Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) married his love! This fantastic day also includes Glen Croe and the stunning 'Rest and Be Thankful' mountains with panoramic views over the glen .
